Drug Prevention Program for Students and Staff
Policies with regard to substance abuse, adopted and enforced in accordance with the US
Department of Education requirements are:
1.) The possession, use and/or distribution of alcohol or any other illicit drugs on
Chester Career College property is extremely and totally forbidden.
2.) Under state and federal law, penalties for possession, and/or distribution of illicit
drugs and alcohol range from 15 days through 25 years in prison and fines of $15
to thousands of dollars and total confiscation of involved assets.
3.) Substance abuse presents many health and life risks. Some common ones are:

- Cocaine Severe dependence and anxiety, nasal and lung damage, death by over dose.
- Crack Cocaine Intense dependence, hallucinations, psychosis, convulsions, coma and death.
- Marijuana Impaired memory, dependence, possible damage to lungs; heart reproduction & immune system; impaired function.

4.) Help with a substance abuse problem is available at any of the many treatment
centers throughout the city. Local chapters of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) are
found in the telephone White Pages. Other substance abuse treatment centers may
be found in the Yellow Pages.
5.) Any student or CCC employee convicted of a drug-related offense must advise
Chester Career College of such conviction within five (5) days thereof.
6.) ANY STUDENT OR EMPLOYEE WHO IS A DRUG OR ALCOHOL
OFFENDER WILL BE DISMISSED FROM CHESTER CAREER COLLEGE IMMEDIATELY.
POSSESSION, DISTRIBUTION, OR USE OF ALCOHOL OR ILLICIT
SUBSTANCES AT CHESTER CAREER COLLEGE WILL BRING IMMEDIATE EXPULSION.
