Attendance Policy

Attendance is taken each day in class. Students are required to attend at least 80% of their scheduled classes to receive a passing grade for the class. Students in a clock hour program must meet the required mod hours to successfully pass the course. Massage Therapy program requires students to have 80 hours for all didactic classes and 190 hours for clinicals to successful pass. Nurse Aide program requires students to have 70 hours didactic, 20 work-base and lab and 40 clinical hours to successfully pass. For all clock hour programs, missed timed must be made up within the current mod. Any request for special considerations due extenuating circumstances must be approved by the Academic Dean or School Director.

Attendance is required at all scheduled classes. If a student is absent because of illness or other good cause, he/she should notify the school prior to the beginning of the scheduled class. Any student who misses seven (7) consecutive days will be dropped from the program unless they have provided evidence of an unusual circumstance. Extenuating circumstances which can be documented, will be reviewed by the School Director. Approval to remain in class can only be granted by the School Director. Students with absentee problems will be counseled by school administration.

Allied Health students may not miss more than three (3) clinical/externship training days during the entire program. A passing grade in both lecture and clinical/externship are required to progress to the next level of study.
